ZINC-LEAD: Blind Creek offers estimate for Blende deposit

(Image: Blind Creek Resources)[/caption] YUKON – Vancouver-based Blind Creek Resources has completed a resource estimate for its Blende zinc-lead-silver deposit 64 km north of Keno Hill. The inferred portion is almost 33 million tonnes at 5.03% zinc equivalent. Or in more detail with a 2% zinc equivalent cut-off, the deposit contains 32.98 million inferred tonnes grading 2.01% zinc, 1.88% lead, and 32.0 g/t silver for 1.5 million lb. of zinc, 1.4 million lb. of lead, and 34.0 million oz. of silver. A smaller indicated resource of 3.7 million tonnes grading 1.98% zinc 1.95% lead, and 35.7 g/t silver has also been outlined. A historic, non-compliant resource was estimated by Billiton in 1991. It theorized 19.6 million tonnes grading 3.04% zinc, 2.81% lead, and 56 g/t silver. The Blende project is a potential bulk tonnage, open pit mine with certain cost advantages, according to Blind Creek. Drilling continues.
