COBALT: More high grades from Bellellen for First Cobalt

(Image: First Cobalt)[/caption] ONTARIO – First Cobalt Corp. of Toronto has confirmed the presence of high grade cobalt-nickel mineralization at the historic Bellellen mine at the former town of Silver Centre. The best grades came from the known vein system south of the old mine workings. The most promising intersection was 2.0 metres of 0.78% cobalt and 0.83% nickel, including 1.1 metre of 1.35% cobalt and 1.47% nickel. More assays from the 12-hole, 1,100-metre program are pending. First Cobalt says finding the high grades supports the thesis of metal zoning – cobalt-nickel in some veins, silver in other – within a single hydrothermal system. Similar relationships are seen elsewhere in the Cobalt camp. The company also reported intersecting several calcite veins and zones of disseminated mineralization.
