IDAHO – Vancouver-based
eCobalt Solutions has released an updated and increased resource estimate for its Idaho cobalt project. The project, about 40 km west of Salmon, is in the advanced stages of exploration.
The new estimate was made on the basis of last year’s three-hole, 1,525-metre program as well as a review and inclusion of past results not previously applied. A 3D model of the mineralization was also created.
eCobalt now puts the measured and indicated resources at 3.5 million tonnes grading 0.59% cobalt, up from 3.1 tonnes at the same grade. The inferred resource is 1.7 million tonnes averaging 0.46% cobalt, up from 1.4 million at 0.50% cobalt.
The updated estimate assumes a minimum mining width of 1.8 metre and includes about 362,800 tonnes grading 0.50% cobalt located mainly in the newly drilled, deeper southern end of the Ram deposit as well as in the hanging wall.
The optimized feasibility study for the Idaho project is due in Q2 2018. Watch for it at
