NORTHWEST TERRITORIES –
Kennady Diamonds of Toronto has a 10,500-metre winter drilling program underway with 60% of the activity allocated to testing high priority grassroots targets. The remaining 40% of the drill program is targeted on the Faraday kimberlites.

Field crews were sent to reopen the Kelvin camp in late January. They will also build an ice airstrip, a spur road from the camp to the Gahcho Kue road, and an ice road to the Faraday kimberlites.
Kennady has established the following goals for this winter’s program:
- Grassroots drilling to find new kimberlites will be focused within the Kelvin-Faraday corridor. New targets, immediately southwest of the Gahcho Kue mine, will be tested afterwards if conditions permit.
- Infill drilling between the two limbs of Faraday 1 to 3 to add high grade hypabyssal kimberlite to resource potential.
- Exploration drilling on Faraday 2 to further advance the northwest extension discovered in the summer of 2017.
- Delineation drilling on the northwest extension of Faraday 2 to advance this portion of the pipe shell model to an inferred level of confidence.
- Geotechnical drilling to advance the Faraday kimberlites from a scoping level to a pre-feasibility level of confidence.
Work will also resume on an environmental baseline study begun last year. A new study to evaluate the geochemical behaviour of the kimberlites and associated country rock will also be undertaken.
