NEW BRUNSWICK – Montreal-based Osisko Metals reports that initial drilling at the Gilmore South project 35 km southwest of Bathurst has returned 13.4% zinc plus lead. Hole GS-00-22W1 intersected 11.31% zinc, 2.10% lead, 0.16% copper, 20.95 g/t silver and 0.21 g/t gold over 7.55 metres. Osisko said Hole 22W1 provided insight into the massive sulphide trends present at Gilmour South. The hole was a close proximity, wedge cut, up-dip from the original hole GS-99-22 that returned 9.61% zinc, 1.02% lead, 0.20% copper, and 32.28 g/t silver (no assays were done for gold). The objective of the current drill program is to increase and upgrade historical resources to comply with NI 43-101 requirements. The company plans to investigate the potential for structural thickening of the high grade sulphide mineralization that is typically associated to the major deposits in the Bathurst Mining Camp.
