GOLD: KLGold extends Swan zone 120 metres down plunge at Fosterville

(Image: Kirkland Lake Gold)[/caption] AUSTRALIA – Kirkland Lake Gold of Toronto continues to drill high grades at its Fosterville mine in Victoria state during underground definition work. The latest assays have extended the Swan zone 120 metres down plunge. The continuity of the mineralization has now been traced over a 460-metre plunge and 300 metres vertically. Here are some highlights of the most recent 15 holes done outside the measured and indicated resource of the Swan zone:

• 52.1 g/t gold over 7.15 metres and 30.3 g/t over 1.95 metres;
• 991 g/t gold over 8.85 metres, including 9,115 g/t over 0.9 metre;
• 422 g/t gold over 7.30 metres;
• 649 g/t gold over 1.55 metre; and122 g/t gold over 6.95 metres.

Kirkland Lake says recent drilling confirms that high grade, visible gold mineralization extends approximately 175 metres laterally to the south and 100 metres below the Swan mineral resources. In July 2017, the proven and probable reserve of the Swan zone was 2.4 million tonnes grading 15.3 g/t gold and containing 1.2 million oz. The reserves are contained in 15.5 million tonnes of measured and indicated resources that average 6.8 g/t gold. There is also an inferred resource of 5.6 million tonnes grading 5.8 g/t gold.
