ZINC-COPPER: Murchison updates Brabant-McKenzie resource

(Credit: Murchison Minerals)[/caption] SASKATCHEWAN – Murchison Minerals of Toronto has updated the resources for the Brabant-McKenzie deposit 175 km northeast of La Ronge. This is a metamorphic volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit close to roads, water, the electric grid and supply centres. The new numbers for Brabant-McKenzie are 1.5 million indicated tonnes grading 7.46% zinc and 0.70% copper, and there are 4.5 million inferred tonnes grading 5.99% zinc and 0.62% copper. The greater numbers are primarily the result of the 2017 drilling program. Murchison believes there are significant infill opportunities between 610 metres down-dip to 950 metres. With that in mind, the company has set an exploration target of between 9.0 million and 11.0 million tonnes grading 7.5% to 9.5% zinc equivalent based on the current geological model. The Brabant-McKenzie deposit lies in the same volcanic-sedimentary belt as the Flin Flon, Lalor, Lynn Lake and Snow Lake mines, says the company. Mineraliza1on occurs as disseminated, massive, semi-massive and breccia vein sulphides with coarse grained pyrrhotite, pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena.
