NOVA SCOTIA – Toronto-based
Anaconda Mining said it has recovered over 95% of the gold in samples from the Goldboro project 175 km northeast of Halifax. The results came from subjecting a 324-kg sample of drill core to gravity separation, flotation, and cyanide leaching of both gravity and flotation concentrates.

The metallurgical testing was conducted by
Thibault & Associates in Fredericton, N.B. At a grind size of 80% passing 110 microns, 46.4% of the gold reported to the gravity concentrate and 62.1% to a flotation concentrate grading 4,255 to 4,587 g/t gold. Leaching of the gravity concentrate for 48 hours resulted in 99.5% recovery. The flotation concentrate had a gold recovery between 96.6% (80% passing 18.1 microns) to 97.3% (80% passing 12.8 microns) over 48 hours
The Goldboro deposit contains 457,400 oz. of gold in 2.6 million measured and indicated tonnes grading 5.57 g/t and 372,900 oz. in 2.7 million inferred tonnes grading 4.35 g/t gold.
Anaconda acquired the Goldboro property with the takeover of Orex Exploration earlier this year. More information is posted at
