Victaulic’s is offering its Refuse-to-Fuse system, a new joining method for high density polyethylene pipe that eliminates the need to fuse. The company says their couplings provide the fastest and most economical way to join HDPE pipe.

The Refuse-to-Fuse system cuts a crew’s on-site downtime so you can finish projects ahead of schedule by installing 10 times faster than fusing. There is no heating or cooling of pipe ends, no fusing equipment to set up, and it can be used in places where fusing equipment cannot reach.
The couplings install easily using a standard socket wrench or impact driver. There is no capital purchase or maintenance of expensive fusing equipment. It installs the same way in any weather condition, so there’s no need to set up a fusing tent nor extra heating and cooling time needed for extreme weather.
Refuse-to-Fuse products meet or exceed HDPE pressure ratings. And the coupled pipe meets all job site requirements such as tensile load, minimum bend radius capabilities and “dragability.” Feel free to push it, pull it and treat it just like you would a fused pipe.
