ZINC-LEAD: Trevali cuts long and strong mineralization at Heath Steele

NEW BRUNSWICK – Vancouver-based Trevali Mining Corp. has drilled many multiple broad intervals of high grade zinc-lead at the Heath Steele project. Heath Steele is adjacent to the company’s Stratmat zinc-lead deposit in the Bathurst Mining Camp. The company also operates the nearby Caribou zinc-lead mine. (Credit: Trevali Mining)[/caption] The Heath Steele base metal mine operated off and on between 1957 and 1999. Historically, 24.3 million tonnes of ore at grades of 5.21% zinc, 1.81% lead, 0.93% copper and 65.6 g/t silver were mined. Trevali is taking a close look at the Heath Steele E zone to validate historic results and gather a sample for metallurgical testing. The first drill hole, HS17-001, successfully intersected 56.2 metres of massive sulphide mineralization grading 3.84% zinc, 1.51% lead, 2.15% copper, 64.3 g/t silver and 1.01 g/t gold. Higher grade intervals within that core included 23.3 metres at 5.8% zinc, 2.4% lead, 3.2% copper, 92.0 g/t silver and 1.7 g/t gold. Further information is available at www.Trevali.com.
