Glen Koropchuk has been appointed technical director and chief operating officer at Fortune Minerals to lead development of the NICO cobalt, gold, bismuth and copper project. He is also a director of the company and has decades of global mineral industry experience, including in Canada’s north. Other appointments at Fortune include: Richard Schryer, who has been promoted to vice-president of regulatory and environmental affairs; Patricia Penney, who has been promoted to Controller; and Sherry Tunks, who has rejoined the company as supply chain manager. Pierre Rocque has been elevated to the position of vice-president, Canadian operations from vice-president, technical services. Rocque is a mining engineer with 25 years of experience. Ian Holland, a geologist with 20 years of experience, has been promoted to vice-president, Australian operation. He was previously general manager of the Fosterville gold mine. Mark Utting, a chartered financial analyst with over 25 years of experience in investor relations and corporate communications, has been appointed vice-president, investor relations; and Brian Hagan has been appointed vice-president, health, safety and the environment. He has over 35 years of experience in implementing health, safety and environmental management systems in the mining sector. Brett Heath, president of Metalla Royalty & Streaming, has been appointed CEO following the resignation of previous CEO Tim Gallagher. Gallagher will remain on the board of directors as chairman. Graham Harris has resigned as a director and the CEO of ML Gold. Andrew Bowering, the current chairman and a director, has been appointed the new CEO. In addition, Simon Clarke will replace Harris on the board. Elisabeth Tremblay has been appointed Senior Geologist, Communications for Monarques Gold. She has 20 years of experience working in exploration for gold, nickel and other base metal projects, mostly in Quebec. The company has also added geologist Martin Lacaille Dufresne to its technical team. Lionel Levelle has resigned from the board of Orbite Technologies due to health reasons. He had been a director at Orbite since 2006.
