URANIUM: Fission drills high grades at Patterson Lake South’s R1515W zone

Credit: Fission Uranium.[/caption] SASKATCHEWAN – The final assays are coming in from winter drilling by Fission Uranium of Kelowna, B.C., at its Patterson Lake South property in the Athabasca Basin. The results confirm the presence of high grades in the 1515W zone. Six of the eight holes drilled at the 1515W zone were mineralized, and four of them returned multiple high grade intervals. The best hole, PLS17-557, returned 3.12% uranium oxide over 8.5 metres in a 27.5 metre interval that averaged 1.24% U₃O₈. The same  hole assayed 1.71% over 9.0 metres, including 5.15% U₃O₈ over 2.0 metres. The 1515W zone was discover during the winter program is the western-most area on the 3.17-km mineralized trend. Additional mineralization was encountered 120 metres west of R1515W. Grades were “encouraging,” said Fission, with 0.74% U₃O₈  over 0.5 metre.
