[caption id="attachment_1003718492" align="alignleft" width="160"] Edie Thome, president and CEO of AME.[/caption] The Association for Mineral Exploration in Vancouver has welcomed Edie Thome as its new president and CEO. She brings a wealth of experience in government relations, permitting and public affairs as well as on-the-ground experience working with stakeholders, First Nations, elected officials and land owners. Most recently, Thome was director - environment, permitting and compliance, aboriginal relations and public affairs at BC Hydro. Cameco Corp. of Saskatoon has named Brian Reilly senior VP and COO to succeed Bob Steane who is retiring on June 30, 2017. Reilly joined the company in 2011 as managing director of its Australian subsidiary, and in March 2017 he was appointed Cameco’s VP mining, technology and projects. To go with its new laboratory in Vancouver, EnviroLeach Technologies has made new additions to its research team: Ish Grewal, VP; Hanif Jafari, CTO; Mohammad Doostmohammadi, head of research; and Monica Jimenez, senior lab technician. Nevsun Resources of Vancouver has appointed Peter G. Kukielski as president and CEO. He was CEO of a private company from 2014 to 2017, and before that was chief executive mining for ArcelorMittal from 2008 to 2013. Kukielski replaces Cliff Davis who has retired.
