GOLD: Probe confirms good grades, more drilling at Val-d’Or Est project

QUEBEC – Toronto-based Probe Metals has decided to expand the current drilling program at its Val-d’Or Est gold project to 75,000 metres from 50,000 metres thanks to the “very positive” results to date. The property is located about 25 km northeast of Val d’Or in the Abitibi gold belt. Credit: Probe Metals.[/caption] The latest results include 154.4 g/t gold over 0.6 metre in a sub-vertical shear vein structure, the same structure that returned 1,122 g/t gold over 0.7 metre in March of this year. The structure has been drilled along a strike length of 300 metres and to a vertical depth of 400 metres. It remains open in all directions. Several holes intersected gold mineralization in east-west, moderately dipping quartz-tourmaline veins and vertical north-northwest dyke structures near the New Beliveau deposit. These holes returned up to 5.7 g/t gold over 4.1 metres, 35.6 g/t over 0.5 metre, 7.5 g/t over 3.5 metres, 7.9 g/t over 2.7 metres, 5.1 g/t over 5.1 metres, and 15.5 g/t over 2.6 metres.
