BRITISH COLUMBIA –
Golden Dawn Minerals of Vancouver has received the necessary permit to dewater the Lexington-Grenoble gold-copper mine 3 km west of Greenwood. As well as draining the mine, the company is allowed to discharge water during underground test mining. Dewatering will begin in late April or early May.

The Lexington-Grenoble mine that saw an eight-month period of production in 2008 until the economic crash made it impossible for the then-owner to get funding. The mine has been on care and maintenance since.
The resources were updated in 2016. The measured and indicated portion is 372,000 tonnes grading 6.47 g/t gold and 1.05% copper or 8.05 g/t gold equivalent. The inferred portion is 12,000 tonnes at 4.42 g/t gold and 1.03% copper or 5.96 g/t gold equivalent. The M&I resources contains 96,300 oz. of gold equivalent.
The Lexington-Grenoble mine is within 15 km of the Greenwood processing plant. The mill has a capacity of 200 t/d, expandable to 400 t/d. The permitted tailings management facility can contain 600,000 tonnes.
