NEWFOUNDLAND – Anaconda Mining of St. John’s has added more hardware to its bulging trophy case. The company was recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Employers’ Council with a 2017 Employer of Distinction award. The award recognizes successful employers who demonstrate leadership in the community, productivity and innovation, and a fundamental belief in the value of a healthy, safe, and motivated workforce. An Employer of Distinction views its employees and the community in which it operates as vital to that success. Anaconda president and CEO, Dustin Angelo stated, "With success comes responsibility. We are proud to be able to give back to the Baie Verte region as well as organizations which have province-wide impact. Local businesses, government and residents supported us for many years as we turned around our project. The area is important to our success and we want to maintain the economic viability of the region." Read about Anaconda’s Point Rousse gold project at www.AnacondaMining.com.
