Results of winter drilling at PLS have extended the mineralized trend another 510 metres to the west beyond the R840W zone.[/caption]
SASKATCHEWAN –
Fission Uranium of Kelowna, B.C., has discovered another new high grade zone – R1515W – at the Patterson Lake South property on the southwest rim of the Athabasca Basin. The zone is located along the western strike extension of the Patterson Lake Corridor, west of both the Triple R deposit and the R840W zone.
The zone was intersected by hole PLS17-539 located about 510 metres west of the high grade, near surface R840W zone. The hole retuned a 31.0-metre continuously mineralized interval that included a total composite of 0.77 metre of radioactivity >10,000 cps.
The new find expands the PLS mineralized trend to 3.14 km, the largest in the region, says Fission.
Fission president, COO and chief geologist Ross McElroy said in a release, “We are thrilled with the discovery of a new zone at PLS along the very prospective Patterson Lake Corridor … This success is the validation of a key objective during the winter drill program: to discover new, shallow and high grade occurrences on the prolific PLS project. … The next step for this area is to begin growing the zone, just as we have done so successfully with every zone at PLS and we will also continue to pursue our other exploration hot spots on the property."
