ONTARIO – Wesdome Gold Mines of Toronto recently announced underground drilling results from the 300E zone (303 lens) at its Eagle River gold mine near Wawa. So far drilling has identified at least three steeply plunging pipe-like bodies between depths of 800 and 1,000 metres.   • Hole 844-E-26:08 g/t Au uncut (5.86 g/t cut) over 8.88 metres;
  • Hole 844-E-27;72 g/t Au uncut (19.03 g/t cut) over 20.67 metres;
  • Hole 844-E-28:75 g/t Au uncut (13.36 g/t cut) over 17.94 metres;
  • Hole 844-E-29:61 g/t Au uncut (24.60 g/t cut) over 3.93 metres; and
  • Hole 670-131:35 g/t Au uncut (10.35 g/t cut) over 4.32 metres.
Duncan Middlemiss, Wesdome president and CEO, said, "These results contain potential widths of up to 20 metres and are unprecedented at Eagle River. The current proximity of these intercepts to mine infrastructure coupled with the sheer volume of high grade mineralization will potentially have near to mid-term positive production implications. Furthermore, the presence of these structures give rise to the possibility of additional zones of similar size and grade, as well as bulk mining opportunities at Eagle River." Additional drilling data is available in the Jan. 26 news release at www.Wesdome.com.
