NEW BRUNSWICK –
Explor Resources of Rouyn-Noranda, QC, has completed 12 diamond drill holes and intersected six copper zones at its Chester copper property 70 km southwest of Bathurst.
The best assay was 3.65% Cu over 5.35 metres. The same hole (1571-16-003) returned 45% Cu over 6.80 metres. The footwall zone returned 13.20% Cu over 15.00 metres.
The Chester property is located in the southern-most part of the Bathurst mining camp, and known to contain both a copper deposit and a VMS deposit. The copper deposit has a measured and indicated open pit resource of 1.4 million tonnes grading 1.38% Cu, 0.06% Zn & 3.5 g/t Ag and an inferred resource of 2.1 million tonnes grading 1.26% Cu. Explor has stretched the strike length of the know mineralization to 750 metres from 500.
The Chester property was formerly known as the Clearwater project. Please visit
