New CMJ editor, Alisha Hiyate.[/caption] TORONTO – CMJ is starting the new year with a new editor – Alisha Hiyate who has over a decade of experience covering the mining sector. She started as the copy editor of CMJ’s sister publication, The Northern Miner, in 2005. She also served as a staff writer before being promoted to editor of special projects in 2010. Alisha has a B.A. in political science from the University of Toronto and a journalism diploma from Centennial College, where she completed a four-month internship at The Toronto Sun. She won a “Gold” Kenneth R. Wilson award for business writing in 2009. Join the rest of the CMJ staff as we welcome Alisha and look forward to her steady hand at the helm.
