MANITOBA –
Rockcliff Copper Corp. of Toronto says that recent drilling results from its phase 2 program at the Talbot property in the Snow Lake camp have extended the strike length of the high grade, gold-rich Talbot copper deposit. The latest holes traced mineralization 175 metres north of historical drill holes.
The following two holes were drilled in the North lens of the Talbot deposit:
- TB-013 intersected 4.10% CuEq over 7.06 metres (1.3% Cu, 1.28 g/t Au, 3.3% Zn and 29.14 g/t Ag) including 7.8% CuEq over 1.79 metres (2.8% Cu, 3.03 g/t Au, 4.6% Zn and 55.48 g/t Ag.
- TB-014 returned 2.4% CuEq over 2.61 metres (1.2% Cu, 1.10 g/t Au, 0.3% Zn and 20.93 g/t Ag) including 4.5% CuEq over 1.05 metres (2.3% Cu, 2.27 g/t Au, 0.1% Zn and 40.26 g/t Ag.
Rockcliff says the Talbot deposit is a stratabound volcanic massive sulphide deposit consisting of several lenses of coarse grained to stringer to massive sulphides of pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite in a quartzo-feldspathic gneiss.
