BRITISH COLUMBIA – The results from this year’s final three diamond drill holes at Deep Kerr allow
Seabridge Gold of Toronto to fill in the gaps required to support a southern extension of the deposit. The known resource has been expanded about 500 metres along strike to the south at a grade consistent with the inferred resource.
Deep Kerr is one of several deposits identified at the KSM project 65 km northwest of Stewart.
The three recent holes were daughter holes from the original collars on holes K-16-51 and K-16-52. They returned these intersections and grades:
- K-16-51A – 125.1 metres grading 0.47 g/t Au and 0.34 g/t Cu; 41.7 metres at 0.55 g/t Au and 0.61% Cu; and 168.3 metres at 0.35 g/t Au and 0.52% Cu including 73.9 metres at 0.38 g/t Au and 0.71% Cu.
- K-16-52A – 151.4 metres grading 0.21 g/t Au and 0.35% Cu; and 90.9 metres at 0.38 g/t Au and0.31% Cu including 12.9 metres at 1.08 g/t Au and 0.12% Cu;
- K-16-52B – 63.4 metres grading 0.23 g/t Au and 0.35% Cu; and 235.6 metres at 0.32 g/t Au and 0.53% Cu including 98.1 metres at 0.34 g/t Au and 0.78% Cu.
The shape and orientation of the extension are expected to expand the block cave designs in the proposed mine plan, said the company in a news release.
