Copper North Mining Corp. has discovered a new zone of porphyry copper-gold mineralization at the Thor property 20 km south of the Kemess South mine and mill complex. The Thor property follows a 20-km long zone and includes the historic Thor, Marmot, Thorne and Goldvale mineralized areas.
The discovery hole was TH16-01 in the Thor East target area. The hole returned 107.60 metres grading 0.14% Cu and 0.045 g/t Au including 23.85 metres at 0.28% Cu and 0.087 g/t Au and 37.13 metres at 0.23% Cu and 0.069 g/t Au.
The next steps for Copper North are ground surveys in the Thor East area and evaluating numerous geochemical targets and alteration zones. Multiple targets have been outlined over a 4x6-km area southeast of the discovery hole.
