MINING PEOPLE: Explorex Resources, Northern Vertex, Osisko Mining, and Primero

Jim Mustard is now VP exploration and a director of Explorex Resources in Vancouver. He is a veteran capital markets and mining professional with more than 20 years of experience. Vancouver-based Northern Vertex chairman has been re-appointed as president and CEO to spearhead the development of the Moss gold-silver project to production in Arizona. Former president and CEO Dick Whittington has resigned from the company. Osisko Mining of Montreal has added three new executive officers. Robert Wares, a co-founder of the company, is executive VP of exploration and resource development. Having been instrumental in the development of the Eleonore gold mine, Mathieu Savard is VP of exploration in Quebec. Alexandra Drapack, VP of environment services and sustainable development, has been promoted from director of sustainable development for the company. Damien Marantelli has been named COO of Toronto’s Primero Mining Corp. He has over 35 years of expertise including senior management positions with First Quantum, Inmet and WMC Resources.
