ONTARIO – Orefinders Resources of Toronto has filed its notice of project status and project description with the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines as it prepares to mill the Mirado gold stockpile near Kirkland Lake. The next step will be the filing of a closure plan, and then the company can begin to treat the stockpile. Phase one of Orefinders’ plan is to truck the material to a nearby mill for processing and refining. The stockpile consists of 20,742 tonnes of ore grading 4.41 g/t Au and containing 2,939 oz of gold. By processing the material left behind when the  mine closed in the late 1980s, the company will begin generating cash flow ahead of its next phase. Still in the planning stage is phase two, that calls for stripping and processing additional near surface ore from the existing Mirado pit. A map of the Mirado claims is available at www.Orefinders.ca/s/Mirado.asp?ReportID=616952&_Type=Mirado.
