URANIUM: Fission success expands at Patterson Lake South

SASKATCHEWAN – Once again drilling at Patterson Lake South on the southwest rim of the Athabasca Basin is returning excellent results for Fission Uranium Corp. of Kelowna, BC. Assays from the final 17 holes of the summer drill program have been received and include 26.03% U₃O₈ over 6.0 metres and 11.02% over 25.5 metres from the R600W zone. The company says that the R600W mineralization is not yet included in the 43-101 report for the Triple R deposit. Therefore, the very high grade results point toward potential for considerable resource expansion. Drilling will continue this winter. Fission has drilled uranium mineralization over a strike length of 2.33 km east-west in four separate zones. The Triple R deposit, for which a preliminary economic assessment was completed this fall, will support open pit mining of 1.56 million tonnes averaging 2.21% U₃O₈. The proposed underground mine would recover 3.25 million tonnes at 0.42% U₃O₈. Updated maps, assay tables and cross sections can be found at FissionUranium.com/project/pls/.
