YUKON –
Independence Gold Corp. of Vancouver is encouraged by assays from follow-up drilling at the Sunrise zone on its Boulevard gold project 135 km south of Dawson City. The best result was from hole BV15-50 that returned 15.00 g/t Au over 3.05 metres including 27.90 g/t over 1.53 metres.
The follow-up program tested one of several northeast trending soil geochemical anomalies coincident with magnetic low features. The company added that these anomalies are sub-parallel to mineralized trends at
Kaminak Gold’s Coffee gold project 9 km to the northeast.
Besides the Sunrise zone, Independence Gold has drilled the Denali zone 13 km to the northwest. The best assay from Denali was 4.25 g/t Au over 6.10 metres. Mineralization there remains open down-dip and along strike.
Both the Sunrise and Denali zones were discovered this summer. See
INGold.ca for more information.
