Discovery Ventures has hired a crew to begin repairs on the Max mill for its WillaMax gold-copper project near Revelstoke. The mill was treating molybdenum ore when it was mothballed in 2011. Basic repairs and modifications to some of the circuits are planned.
The Willa deposit, 135 km from the mill and near Silverton, has a measured and indicated resource of 758,000 tonnes grading 6.67 g/t Au, 0.85% Cu and 12.54 g/t Ag. The inferred resource is 73,591 tonnes averaging 3.39 g/t Au, 0.29% Cu and 5.42 g/t Ag. The resources were calculated using a 3.5 g/t Au cut-off. A preliminary mine plan was completed in 2005.
