QUEBEC – Integra Gold Corp. of Vancouver has discovered two new gold-bearing zones at Lamaque South in Val d’Or. These new zones, located 2.6 and 2.7 km west of the Triangle zone, are similar to other deposits on the property.
Targets that resulted in finding the new zones were identified through reinterpretation of geophysical signatures and geological characteristics from multiple mines targets and deposits in the area. One of the best holes returned 2.81 g/t over 2.00 metres between 134,000 and 136,000 metres below surface. Another returned 4.17 g/t Au over 1.00 metre between 118.88 and 119.88 metres.
Drill results from the No.6 vein were also encouraging. Assays included 13.18 g/t Au over 1.80 metres, 32.15 g/t Au over 1.69 metres, 22.64 g/t over 2.59 metres, and a11.95 g/t over 4.80 metres. Integra interprets the results indicate lateral and down dip extensions on several mineralized areas that will be included in a new resource estimate next year.
News of successful drilling at Lamaque South came the same day that Integra officially launched its Gold Rush Challenge. The winner will receive $1 million. Visit IntegraGold.com.
