GOLD: Northern Gold recovers 3,516 oz from Garrcon bulk sample

ONTARIO – Northern Gold Mining of Toronto says the last of the 73,534-tonne bulk sample from the Garrcon deposit has been processed at the Holt mill and 3,564 oz of gold was recovered. The average head grade was 1.55 g/t Au and the recovery rate was 95.7%.

The Garrcon deposit is part of Northern Gold’s Garrison property 40 km from Kirkland Lake. The March 2013 estimate put measured and indicated resources for the Garrcon deposit using US$1,250/oz gold to be 29.2 million tonnes at 1.12 g/t Au or 1.05 million oz. An additional 6.80 million tonnes at 2.80 g/t was included in the inferred resource. Open pit mining is under consideration.
