BRITISH COLUMBIA – Seabridge Gold has released results for this year’s first drill holes for the Deep Kerr gold-copper deposit at its KSM project 65 km northwest of Stewart.

Hole K-15-49 intercepted 483 meters averaging 0.43 g/t Au and 0.56% Cu including 250 meters grading 0.49 g/t Au and 0.70% Cu. A follow-up daughter hole, K-15-49A, is now in progress to test the mineralized zone between these two intersections,. The results are expected to increase resources said Seabridge.

The company has had excellent success tracing high grade zones beneath near surface porphyry deposits. The results include discovery of the Deep Kerr and Iron Cap Lower zones, both of which are copper-rich, and together they have added almost 1.0 billion tonnes of higher grade mineralization to the KSM project. The 2014 preliminary economic assessment counted proven and probable reserves of 2.2 billion tonnes averaging 0.55 g/t Au and 0.21% Cu with silver and molybdenum values.
