VANCOUVER – For the third consecutive year, Teck Resources ranks among the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations as chosen by Corporate Knights. Teck is the top ranked mining company and the second ranked Canadian company on this year's list.

(F.Y.I. – The top ranked Canadian company was Tim Hortons at No.11. Teck fills the No.29 spot and was the only Canadian mining company on the list.)

"This ranking is the direct result of the hard work of employees across Teck, who are committed to doing the right thing for the environment, for communities and for future generations," said Don Lindsay, president and CEO. "Our focus is on ensuring that we develop resources in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible, and creates real benefits for society."

Teck (Teck.com) has also been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) for the last five years, which ranks Teck's sustainability practices in the top 10% of the world's 2,500 largest public companies. In 2014, Teck was named one of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens by Corporate Knights and one of the top 50 Socially Responsible Corporations by Sustainalytics.
