GOLD-COPPER: Seabridge builds resource potential of the Lower zone of Iron Cap at KSM

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Seabridge Gold says results from this year's drilling program at the KSM project 65 km northwest of Stewart point toward a "major" new gold-copper discovery beneath the Iron Cap deposit. The best assay, 1.68 g/t Au and 0.38% Cu, came from a 178.2-metre section within a 592.7-metre intersection that averaged 1.14 g/t Au and 0.37% Cu.

Seabridge has had great success at KSM since 2012 as it searched for higher grade core zones beneath the large porphyry deposits on the property. Two such zones have been drilled, the Deep Kerr and the Iron Cap Lower zone. The company says the Iron Cap Lower zone has potential for early development because it is located within 1,000 metres of the proposed Mitchell-Treaty twin tunnel. Capital costs here would be less there than for other deposits farther away from key infrastructure.
