YUKON – Kaminak Gold Corp. of Vancouver and the White River First Nation (WRFN) have signed an exploration agreement coving the company's Coffee gold project 130 km south of Dawson City. The agreement was negotiated over the past several months and is intended to provide the foundation of a strong working relationship between the two.
"This area has been used by our family and others from WRFN for generations. It is a very important area for our people and other First Nations. We commend Kaminak for negotiating an exploration agreement with us." said WRFN acting chief Angela Demit.
Kaminak is advancing the Coffee high grade oxide deposit towards a full scale feasibility study. Earlier this month the company said it expects annual output to be 167,000 oz/y at an all-in sustaining cost of US$688/oz.
