MINING PEOPLE: Conspec Controls, Orvana, South American Silver, and Wolfden

Conspec Controls has named Ed Koush, to the post of senior engineer. He will work on the development of the next generation of environmental sensing and control products at the company's R&D facility in Toronto.

Conspec Controls has named Ed Koush, to the post of senior engineer. He will work on the development of the next generation of environmental sensing and control products at the company's R&D facility in Toronto.

Michael Winship is the new president and CEO of Toronto's Orvana Minerals Corp. He previously  held the top executive positions at Quadra FNX and Hudbay Minerals. He has served as Orvana's interim executive since April this year.

Ralph Fitch has been named president and CEO of South American Silver Corp. of Vancouver. He is also executive chairman and a founder of the company. He takes over the lead duties from Phillip Brodie-Hall who served as interim president and CEO since August 2012. Brodie-Hall previously service as the company's COO.

Wolfden Resources Corp. of Thunder Bay, ON, has named George Topping its new CEO. From 2009 to 2013 he was managing director and senior mining analysts for Stifel Nicolaus Canada. Former CEO Donald Hoy will retain his duties as president of the company.
