URANIUM: Fission, Alpha expand new R600W zone

SASKATCHEWAN – Partners Fission Uranium of Kelowna, BC, and Alpha Minerals of Vancouver have expanded the R600W zone at the Patterson Lake South joint venture in the Athabasca Basin to a length of 30 metres – and the zone is open in all directions.

Two holes returned significant radioactivity. Hole PLS13-124 has 37.0 metres total composite mineralization from a depth of 97.5 to 208.5 metres. Hole PLS13-123 had 32.5 metres of total composite mineralization from 95.0 to 163.5 metres below surface.

The R600W zone was discovered during follow-up drilling of a radon-in-sediment anomaly identified during the summer exploration program. The radon anomaly is located between 540W and 630W and may be associated with inferred north-south cross cutting structures. This anomaly lies along an east-northeast trend, parallel and just north of the PL-3B EM conductor.

Fission and Alpha have enjoyed great success at their Patterson Lake South project. The original discovery was made in November 2012. Five open ended, mineralized zones have been drilled along a strike length of 1,035 metres, and a sixth zone has been discovered 530 metres to the west and also on-strike with the original discovery.
