QUEBEC – Toronto-based Alexandria Minerals Corp. has filed a 43-101 resource report for its 100% owned Akasaba project near Val d'Or. The current resources is twice as large as the one reported a year ago.
The deposit contains an indicated resource of 653,929 underground tonnes grading 4.79 g/t Au and 3.0 million open pit tonnes grading 1.37 g/t Au. There are 254,132 oz of contained gold in the indicated portion.
In the inferred category, there are 1.5 million tonnes at 5.51 g/t Au in the underground resource, 285,374 tonnes at 1.76 g/t Au in the satellite pit, and 14.9 million tonnes at 0.69 g/t Au and 0.41% Cu in the West Zone pit. Contained ounces in the inferred category total 620,612 oz.
