QUEBEC – Quest Rare Minerals of Toronto has advised that the tonnage of the resources estimate at the Strange Lake B zone REE (rare earth elements) has doubled. Using a cut-off grade of 0.50% TREO+Y (total rare earth oxides plus yttrium), the zone contains an indicated resource of 278.1 million tonnes averaging 0.93% TREO+Y, 1.92% ZrO2, and 0.18% Nb2O5.
Within the indicated resource is an enriched zone of 20.0 million tonnes at 1.44% TREO+Y, 2.59% ZrO2, 0.14% Nb2O5, and 0.06% HfO2.
The B zone also has an inferred resource of 214.4 million tonnes at 0.85% TREO, 1.72% ZrO2, 0.14% Nb2O5, and 0.04% HfO2.
The Strange Lake project straddles the border of Quebec and Labrador. The B zone is just south of Lac Brisson in Quebec. Additional information is available at QuestRareMinerals.com.
