CONCENTRATE SHIPPING: Copper Fox secures place at Port of Stewart

BRITISH COLUMBIA - Copper Fox Metals of Vancouver has inked a deal with Stewart Bulk Terminals to secure storage and loading facilities for concentrate from the proposed Schaft Creek mine. The property is located near Schaft Creek, and the latest resource estimate topped a billion tonnes (see CMJ Daily Headline News, Aug. 11, 2011).

The feasibility study for the Schaft Creek mine is to be complete by the end of 2011. The project would include an open pit mine and mill with a throughput of at least 120,000 tonnes of ore per day.

Copper Fox completed a number of trade-off studies related to concentrate transportation, storage and loading from the proposed mine.  The concentrate will be transported using a road from the Schaft Creek mine to Highway 37, an upgraded road that is currently being used by other mines to deliver concentrate to the Port of Stewart.
