ONTARIO - Treasury Metals of Toronto said new metallurgical tests on material from its Goliath gold project 20 km east of Dryden successfully recovered between 96% and 97% of the gold in the sample. G&T Metallurgical Services of Kamloops, BC, conducted the tests and further determined that the material is non-refractory and free milling.
The sample tested had a measured gold and silver feed grade of about 3.5 and 25 g/t, respectively. Minor concentrations (below 0.1%) of copper, lead and zinc were also present in the sample. Silver recoveries were 50% to 60%.
Treasury said a simple gravity recovery circuit plus cyanide leach of the gravity tailings is the best option for the project. Further tests are planned.
