QUEBEC - Montreal's Osisko Mining and Vancouver-based Clifton Star Resources have been drilling their Beattie gold property and cutting good intersections. The best from the latest drill holes include 27.0 metres averaging 3.38 g/t Au, 42.8 metres averaging 1.81 g/t Au and 27.5 metres averaging 1.83 g/t Au.
Osisko is earning a 50% interest in the Duparquet property by spending $70 million by 2013 and extending loans to Clifton Star. The 2010 program includes 122,000 metres of drilling. Work is focused on the former Beattie gold mine (1933-56), the former Donchester gold mine (1946-56), and the former Duquesne gold mine (1946-52 and 1988-92). There are currently five drills on site.
Additional details of the Duparquet project are available on the Clifton website at www.CliftonStarResources.com.
