QUEBEC - Metanor Resources of Val d'Or, QC, has completed the expansion of its Bachelor Lake gold mill near Desmaraisville to 1,200 t/d. That is a 50% rise in capacity from the former 800 t/d rate.
The mill has been treating ore from the Barry open pit. The drilling campaign during 2009-10 confirmed significant additional gold potential on the property, hence the decision to expand the mill. A new 43-101 report is due by the end of April 2010.
Metanor's latest presentation, posted at www.Metanor.ca, has details of the company's plans for its Quebec gold properties. It is taking a two-pronged approach, both to expand production and lower costs at the Bachelor Lake mill and to consolidate and increase gold resources near the mill.
