GOLD EXPLORATION: Bulk sampling underway at Bellechasse deposit

QUEBEC — Golden Hope Mines of Toronto is nearing the end of a bulk sampling program at its wholly owned Bellechasse (Timmins) gold deposit 110 km southeast of Quebec City. The program involves trenching and testing of between 300 and 500 tonnes of rock. The objective is to determine the average grade of the deposit at the surface.

The company says the deposit is nuggety and believe previous diamond drilling programs yielded results below what it thinks is the true average grade. In 2007, trenching conducted by Golden Hope yielded a gold content of 3.8 g/t, almost double the average grade of 2.0 g/t indicated by diamond drilling.

In addition to trenching, the company has plans for a geochemical survey of the T1, T2, Ascot and 88 zones.
