MANITOBA — Crowflight Minerals of Toronto has declared commercial production at its wholly owned Bucko Lake nickel mine in the Thompson Nickel Belt. The mill processed 20,041 tonnes of ore producing 660 tonnes of 20.3% Ni concentrate in May.
The 1,000-t/d mill averaged 647 t/d last month, due to eight lost days of production because of cone crusher repairs, modifications to the reagent distribution system and maintenance of the shaft conveyance system. Discounting the lost days, the mill treated an average 811 t/d during May. Full production is expected mid-summer says the company.
