A representative of Huainan Mining Industry (Group) and Tim Sullivan [right], president and CEO of Bucyrus International, have signed a preliminary joint venture agreement to build a manufacturing facility in the Anhui Province, China. The plant will initially make belt systems and armoured face conveyors for sale to Huainan Mining and other customers. Sales could begin approximately nine months after final completion of the agreement. Eventually the plant may manufacture and sell other types of underground mining equipment as well.
