Powerful bench rammer and new small hoist
Michigan Pneumatic Tool, Inc. of Detroit, Mich., recently launched two types of equipment of interest to the mining industry.
The MP-241B is the most powerful bench rammer for industrial use. Delivering 760 blows per minute with a bore of 3.3 cm and a stroke of 10 cm, the MP-241B is the most powerful bench rammer in production today. It features a unique double-action “sand wiper” seal to exclude dirt and grit from inside the tool for reduced wear and long life. An aluminum backhead reduces weight and operator fatigue, and a hooked lever throttle improves operator comfort. The rubber butt is replaceable. The MP-241B rammer is very useful where dirt or aggregate material needs to be packed down, especially in compact areas where a truck or other large vehicle cannot reach.
The company has also announced the new NPK NRE-1000 hoist, featuring an automatic load limiter. The load limiter prevents lifting of a weight that exceeds the hoist’s load rating. The NRE-1000’s load limiter constantly monitors the air pressure supplied to the air motor during lifting, and will automatically stop the hoist when attempting to lift in excess of the rated load. Currently available in the 0.9-tonne capacity.
