ONTARIO — Toronto-based Goldeye Explorations continues to drill bonanza grades at its Big Dome project in Tyrrell Township. Hole 08-32 intersected 39.3 g/t Au over 1.5 metres in a 190-metre undercut of Hole 98-09 that intersected 1.4 metres of 149 g/t Au. Two hundred thirty metres below Hole 98-09, a second hole, 08-33, intersected 5.23 g/t Au over 3.2 m.
A geological compilation of the Big Dome drilling has identified a large feldspar porphyry intruding both mafic volcanics and sedimentary rocks in the Tyrrell Shear Zone, according to the company. The high grade intersections occur in these lithologies proximal to the top and bottom of the felsic intrusive.
A 2003 report by Roland Ridler comparing the Kirkland Lake and Tyrrell lithologies is posted at www.Goldeye.ca
