Last week we asked if CMJ readers in the market for a diamond would insist on a Canadian stone. Approximately 40% of respondents would. What surprises me is that 35% of them don't care where a diamond is mined, despite the publicity surrounding the Kimberley Process and the movie Blood Diamond.
