BRITISH COLUMBIA Gold hunters who seek exceptional grades are finding them in both northern and southern British Columbia.
Vancouver's GOLDCLIFF RESOURCE CORP. unearthed a trench sample that assayed 595.55 g/t Au, that's 17.4 oz/ton, last year at its 100%-owned Panorama Ridge property near Hedley. This year samples assayed 184.00 g/t (3.4 oz/ton). The company plans to drill 24 HW core holes to test the potential of mineralization at depth.
ROMIOS GOLD RESOURCES of Toronto is having a large measure of success at its Newmont Lake property near Galore Creek. It has drilled an intersection of 0.44 metres that assayed 753.00 g/t Au (21.96 oz/ton) plus good silver and copper. The bonanza was part of a 14.01-metre intersection that averaged 26.44 g/t Au (0.77 oz/ton) as well as silver and copper. The same hole cut two further gold zones that assayed 7.11 g/t Au over 3.02 metres and 3.22 g/t over 4.70 metres.
