ONTARIO - Q-GOLD RESOURCES of Flagstaff, Ariz., is dewatering the old Foley gold mine that has been flooded since the 1930s. The property, located 65 km east of Fort Francis, will be the subject of underground exploration.
The Foley mine produced 5,267 oz of gold between 1893 and 1934. It was developed with three shafts and a winze as well as underground drifts on seven levels. Construction was begun on a mill but never completed due to the Great Depression.
Information on the Foley and Q-Gold's other projects is available at www.QGoldResources.com.
